Missing 411 with David Paulides… More Questions than Answers, Aug 23, 2021
Based on the books series written by David Paulides Missing 411 chronicles the unsolved yet eerily similar disappearances of five children in the wilds of North America across multiple decades. A real-life horror story for those involved, the film examines each case from multiple perspectives in an attempt to shed light on the unsettling topic. Les Stroud of Survivor-man and Obama-appointed, former Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar are both interviewed for their insight into the topic, as are the families who have fallen victim to tragedy.

Missing 411: The Hunted
Hunters have been disappearing from North American wild-lands for hundreds of years, many without leaving a trace. Former police detective David Paulides was initially brought on to investigate the circumstances around the many mysterious disappearances - here he presents the haunting true stories of hunters experiencing the unexplained. Missing 411: The Hunted is based on the book by Paulides, which documents 185 cases of missing peoples from four different countries. All 185 cases fit a narrowly defined profile that was refined after researching thousands of missing person reports; these cases are the most difficult, defy common sense, challenge conventional wisdom and remain unexplained.

Unexplained disappearance is the physical disappearance of people or other objects without apparent cause or reason.
Reports of missing persons have increased sixfold in the past 25 years, from roughly 150,000 in 1980 to about 900,000 this year. The increase was driven in part by the country's growing population. But the numbers also indicate that law enforcement treats the cases more seriously now, including those of marginalized citizens.
The most amazing fact is that the U.S. national park service states they do not track missing people inside their parks and when the author of the book "Missing 411" asks for any data associated with the missing, they want to charge him 1.4 million dollars for them to do their job. They have also blocked the ability to get records on certain cases, including a congressman who was asked to look into this.
An astounding 2,300 Americans are reported missing every day, including both adults and children. But only a tiny fraction of those are stereotypical abductions or kidnappings by a stranger.
For example, the federal government counted 840,279 missing persons cases in 2001. All but about 50,000 were juveniles, classified as anyone younger than 18.
The National Center for Missing Adults, based in Phoenix, consistently tracks about 48,000 "active cases," says president Kym Pasqualini, although that number has been bumped up by nearly 11,000 reports of persons missing after this year's hurricanes.
In a phone interview, Pasqualini said a breakdown of the 48,000 cases reveals the demographic nature of America's missing persons.
Slightly more than half—about 25,500—of the missing are men. About four out of 10 missing adults are white, three of 10 black and two of 10 Latino.

Why were the Green Berets called in for a missing persons search? (approximately 55 minute mark)
In the two cases Green Berets were called in and setup their own "HQ" in the National Park once the missing person was reported and went on search themselves through the forest, not talking or discussing to anyone about what it is they were searching for or why they were there in the first place.
While this was happening another family walking through the forest approximately 2000 to 2500 ft in lower elevation, they saw something big and dark moving in the trees above them. They then heard the loudest and most blood curdling scream they had ever heard in their life.
The FBI came in, seemed to brush off any eye witness evidence that was brought up about the arrival of the Green Berets. A figure was seen darting behind trees carrying something over its shoulder and never used as evidence in the case.
Green berets only get called up in matters of national security.
