A UFO group in Taiwan is asking for expert help to authenticate a photo of a "transparent alien" walking along a remote country road. What is it?
The photo, taken by a policeman in Taiwan's Taitung County in early December, shows a ghostly, see-through figure walking in the distance. The figure is human-shaped, stooped, extremely tall and, when enlarged, appears to be transparent.
Chinese media has jumped on the story, as evidenced by the video attached below.
According to the International Business Times, photo experts in Taiwan are asking for help to identify whether the picture, taken with an iPhone, has any chance of being real.
Image processing expert Chien Jung-tai isn't so sure. He says the double lines outlining the figure could have resulted from a shaking motion, or were perhaps a leftover digital image, although remarking that "(I)t does not appear to be an edited photo."
Calling on iPhone experts to examine the image more closely, Jung-tai at least appears to be stumped. The video attached here is in Chinese, but the message is obvious.
What is it?

According to [examiner.com An 11-year-old Texas boy was "terrified" after watching and photographing a strange object about 10:15 p.m. on December 13, 2012, moving and hovering over Haslet, according to the father's testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The child and his uncle were outside watching shooting stars when the object was first seen.
"All if the sudden this object appeared out of nowhere with no tail, like a shooting star should have, and was quite brighter than anything they had seen," the father stated. "It went in a sharp northeast direction, stopped and hovered."
At this point, the boy began taking photos of the object with his iPhone. Submitted with the MUFON report on December 14, 2012, were: Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, Image 4, and Image 5.
